WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Rand Paul today announced plans to open a tech orientated office in Austin, Texas. The office will be located within the Capital Factory complex and will center on digital engagement and product innovation centered on technology.

Senior Digital Strategist, Vincent Harris stated: “Senator Rand Paul will run the most innovative, tech-forward operation of any elected official in the country. This will be a crowd-sourced campaign that places an emphasis on creativity and innovation. Austin is known as “Silicon Hills” for a reason, and we will welcome anyone interested in working with our team.”

Capital Factory’s mission is to be the center of gravity for tech startups and entrepreneurs in Austin, Texas. Entrepreneurs, programmers and designers gather day and night for meetups, classes and coworking.

Additionally, Senator Rand Paul announced the hiring of Rachel Kania who will serve as a Senior Field and Technology Strategist.

Kania stated: “As the newest member of Team Rand, I look forward to leveraging the latest in campaign technology to activate our energized volunteer base. Team Rand will be the most technologically-savvy campaign in the field and his message will inspire and widen the GOP base unlike any other candidate.”

Prior to joining team RANDPAC, Rachel Kania served as Statewide Field Director for Senator Ted Cruz’s primary election. As Statewide Field Director, she recruited and hired a team of field staffers and eager volunteers, opened numerous field offices throughout the state – complete with an integrated database to track voter interactions. This resulted in the highly successful grassroots organization that won the contested 2012 primary and run-off then went on to secure a landslide victory in the general election.

Rachel Kania will fuse together the power of an enthusiastic volunteer base and the innovative technology of modern campaigns.
